Do Not Give Up
Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you are 100% right. If you tell yourself that there is nothing left YOU’RE RIGHT, or if you just say one more step guess what YOU’RE RIGHT! In life people only see your successes they never see what it took to get there. They want the successes and to be in the light. But behind the curtains of social media and what we allow others to see is a whole different ball game. When someone is awarded the title of Champion everyone wants that award, but they didn’t see all the hours when no one was watching the work that was put in to accomplish that title. They didn’t see all the failures, or as I like to say (because I don’t believe in the word failure) what didn’t work. A “failure” is just you finding out what didn’t work and it’s you being one step closer to finding out what does. No one sees how many times you wanted to throw in the towel, but you didn’t. How many times you yelled at God saying “I’m Done!” and then repenting and saying “Help me God, I can’t do this on my own.” They just see the pretty trophy or title and tell God it’s not fair they have it all! Life is not easy and running the race God has set before us, sure isn’t a walk in the park. It’s a daily battle between flesh and spirit. Some days your flesh wins and some days your spirit comes out on top. Either way you dust yourself and start afresh the next day. One foot in front of the other. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. This race that God has you on isn’t meant to be won in a day, it’s endurance. It’s day in and day out, stumble after stumble, frustration after frustration and win after win. There will be days you are on top of the mountain knowing God is saying to you “Well done my good and faithful servant!” Then there are days you are like “Stupid, stupid, stupid you fall short all the time, how can I be the redeemed of the Lord?” But guess what YOU ARE THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD! You are His child and His masterpiece. He thought you were to die for! If you were the only person on this Earth, Jesus still would of died just for you! So today I come to you saying DON’T GIVE UP, You can do this! It won’t be easy, it won’t be short, and you sure as heck wont get a trophy for not yelling at your child today or for not loosing it at work when the woman sitting across from you gives you a go to hell look and you just smile back and say “Lord bless her, just bless her!” Life is about one step at a time. Don’t be afraid of what tomorrow holds or if you are going to fail, because I promise God will be with you each step of the way whether it’s a win or you fall short. Did Jesus not put his hand out for Peter when he was sinking. (Matthew 14:31) Trust God and step out in faith today it only starts with that one step. So what if you fall short, you found one way that didn’t work let’s find one that does! God will guide you, this blog is living proof of that. I have no clue what I am doing or why I am doing it, but I’m trusting God as I step out on the water, WILL YOU?
